My Lasik Experience with Prof. Dr. Muhaya Mohamad

I've been wearing glasses since I was twelve and today I am no longer the 'four eyed girl'. Alhamdulillah :-) My dream came true. I always wanted to be free, to see the world without the use of glasses and contact lenses. I've been visualizing that one fine lucky day I will undergo the lasik surgery and on the 16th of August 2012 my dream became reality. The person who performed the lasik surgery was my auntie (my mum's cousin), a true Muslimah icon who inspires all, the one and only Prof. Dr. Muhaya Mohamad who currently serves as a Consultant Eye Surgeon and Director of PCMC Eye & Lasik Center. I adore her so much because she is a great woman who has such a positive outlook on life.

I was super duper nervous on the night before the surgery. Hey, it's normal to feel anxious before undergoing a surgery especially if it's your first time, plus it's involving the eye. watched the video of Hafiz Hamidun undergoing his lasik surgery and it really helped because he was cool and so relaxed during the whole procedure. On the surgery day, I went into the operation room and I felt quite relax when I saw Prof. Muhaya's face with her warm welcoming and sweet smile. In just ten to fifteen minutes everything was over. Alhamdulillah. No pain! No worries! Hakuna Matata! It's bladeless. After the surgery ended she said, 'Alhamdulillah. Look on your left, look out the door. Can you see your sisters?'. I could not utter a word. I was speechless. I can only smile. Ya Allah, I was able to see clearly again. I can only say, Alhamdulillah.
Thank you Allah. Thank you auntie Muhaya :-)

Btw, on the day of the procedure it is recommended that we wash our face well and not to apply any type of skin care, make-up, perfume, deodorant and after-shave. Plus, we should wear loose and comfortable clothing :-)

After the surgery...*With my dad (harleemdayam.blogspot.com) & my lovely sister :-)

*Ketika mata ini melihat keindahan alam semesta...
Subahanallah. Alhamdulillah. Thank you Allah!

    1. Salam. Sorry for the late reply! Lepas operation mata saya mcm blur2 sikit tapi nampak terang! n bila kena cahaya rasa pedih sikit that's why after the surgery kena pakai shades yg diperi oleh PCMC. And during recovery jgn pakai eye make-up, don't go swimming/snorkeling and so on :-)
